Good morning Sammy, and what a charming question you pose for us all. The first smiles of my two children are in the distant past, far too long ago to have recall as to their real origin. LOL.
I clearly recall that my daughter used to smile when she looked at the trees above her when being wheeled in her pram. (Heart-warming memories.)
When we talked about children smiling into the distance, my grandmother used to say that very young children had the ability to see things and people that we couldn't.
I don't know about the reality of that statement, but it is certainly food for thought.

Hey! My baby, /she's 9 months old now/ start smiling when she was about 3 months old. :) |
