Helping verb "do" when goes with another verb it goes with bare infinitive only, meaning infinitive without "to"

ex: I do love you. <<< We don't say: I do loving you.
----Do you love me? <<< We don't say: Do you loving me.

Verb "start" when goes with helping verb "do" is used the same way:
When do you start your new art class?

present participle (or gerund; verb in V-ing form such as working, eating, going....) is used when:
1. after "to be" verb or another verb
---ex: He is working right now.
------Is he working right now?
------I love eating ice cream.

2. after a preposition: (to, for, at.....)
ex: I am looking forward to seeing you.
------I am good at doing math.
------Thanks for helping me

3. To start a sentence:
ex: Working with children is not an easy task.

Hope it helps
