Translation from French to English

I was wondering how I could translate the French expression "Pouvez-vous appuyer notre demande ?".

Actually, we are having difficulties getting some replies from one employee in a company so I am getting in touch with the vice-president that I already know for years to ask him to “stress things a little bit”. For ex, he could contact directly this employee and explain to him how important it is to focus on our request.

I think smth like "Would you be so kind to support our request?" might work.
