Dear teacher.
Please help me to show whether the senteces are the same meaning.
1. Mathematics today is of great use to many other sciences.
2. Mathematics today is useful to many other sciences.

Hi,

Of great use is stronger in meaning than useful. Useful means something works well and of great use makes the point that it is extremely/very useful.
