Hi Rahel,

Many thanks for your interesting question. We are planning to offer an audio version of all correct test answers. In addition we want to add sound to all materials written by Alan (his stories, newsletters and articles) but this will take a while.

Spoken versions of English #8 (permalink) Sat Jun 26, 2004 15:55 pm   Spoken versions of English

We here at english-test.net think that what really counts is communication. The language itself is only the means to express ideas and thoughts. What difference does it make whether you speak with an east or west coast American, south coast British, Australian, Canadian, Nothern Irish or Norwegian accent? English is spoken in so many different countries by so many different people in so many different ways and this diversity is one of the factors why English absorbs so many new words so fast.

Maybe English is the richest language in the world. I heard that English is comprised of 4 languages ( French, German.....) Is it really so?

Only chinese and english? #12 (permalink) Sat Jun 26, 2004 18:33 pm   Only chinese and english?

Hi Rahel, why do say that in the future there will be only two languages? That would mean nobody will speak any other language apart from Chinese and English? Do you really think so or are you just joking?

I am sure, you must use musical accompaniment during sounding materials written by Alan.
