Unfortunately, both are in use. 'Below' is becoming an attributive adjective. _________________ Native English teacher at Mister Micawber's |

Thank you both for your replies.
Anyone else want to weigh in?
I'm trying to determine the proper placement because I see more and more people using the second version at work. For example:
"Please open the below attachment."
It just doesn't seem to be correct but the more I see it, the more I get used to it. |

Good for you! Because that's how language works. But if you don't like it (as I don't), then stick to your guns and use 'the attachment below'. _________________ Native English teacher at Mister Micawber's |
