why 20sec speaking gone occasionally?

First, I thought it was I who didn't find thoroughly enough. But, in past few days, I've realized it wasn't me but, the thread itself, it is gone every now and then. Tonight, when I looked for it to make a post, I couldn't find it anywhere; it's gone again. I'm pretty sure it's gone because all those threads from earlier dates like a week ago are on top of the list. It may be visible tomorrow again like it happened in few days ago. So, mods, why is it on and off often? Is it because, the thread is too big(it's on 40pages now)? If that's the case, I'll start a new one.

Thanks for your message. These threads come and go but the 20 second club I am sure is alive and well. But you have to realise that with so many contributors from different parts of the world, interest is bound to fluctuate. Nevertheless, thanks for making us all aware of this thread.

Hi Alan,
Thanks for the reply. I think I didn't convey my point clear enough. What I meant is, not decline in participants in the topic. I meant the whole topic was physically gone from the list and couldn't be found anywhere. Last night, I was poring over the subform("Listening, speaking,....") it belongs, to make a post but couldn't be found anywhere. Like I predicted, in my original post, 20sec is visible this morning. I'm not sure why this is happening. I'm just guessing it's getting too big for forum script to handle because it's already on page 40.
