Of course no as here are present and past progressive tenses. _________________ Nothing's impossible! Never say never! They're what I've been following. Hope you to follow them too! |

Thanks VW.
By using "who are and who were", I intended to express a idea that this film was created for those who are pursuing the culture, and also for those who used to pursue the culture(may be dead). But I'm not sure about it. _________________ Please feel free to correct me if you find any mistakes in my posts. |

Oh. If so you have to write ...who used to and are pursuing... _________________ Nothing's impossible! Never say never! They're what I've been following. Hope you to follow them too! |

Thanks VW. But, isn't it that "used to" should be follow by infinite verbs? _________________ Please feel free to correct me if you find any mistakes in my posts. |

Yes but when we're mentioning 2 actions with different tenses, the verb will depend on the tense it follows ie. Used to play and are playing but used to and are playing. Because yr sentence mentions 2 subjects so we can't use present perfect. But you can also use...who used to...and who are pursuing...to make the sentence clearer. _________________ Nothing's impossible! Never say never! They're what I've been following. Hi Infin1ty,
There seems to be some kind of confusion here. You can say' who are and who were pursuing. If you introduced 'used to', it would be necessary to say: who are pursuing and who used to pursue' since 'used to' requires a different construction.
