Could you help me to differentiate the two words? Can we say a high man as well as a tall tree?

Hi,

When talking of people's height we would use 'short' or 'tall', although both 'tall' and 'high' can be used for things such as buildings.

Yes Mr. Alan. That's also my idea. But do we use tall for things that have extraordinary height like buildings or sycamores(I'm not sure whether this is a kind of tree)?

Sycamore is a kind of tree and it would not make sense to a native speaker of you called a tree "high" unless you said something like "its branches are high above the ground." I believe it is ok to use "tall" to describe things with great height, unless it goes with a preposition (you wouldn't say "its branches are tall above the ground").
