Is the ability to read and write more important today than in the past? Why or why not? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
----------------------------------

Nowadays, we are surrounded for more and more devices which require our skill to read and write. And they need us to be operative. Also, we need this skills to interact with other people through this devices and we are living in a content generate by user era. Follow me along these lines and discover why these abilities are so important.

Thanks to God the machines are not autonomous yet. For that reason, these machines need a person who is in charge to operate them. Commonly, to operate a machine, workers have to read and write to send some orders to these machines. For example, in a car-factory all the robots have been programmed to follow a list of instructions. These Instructions must be written by some programmer. Who first learn to read and write to create the routine-program for these robots.

On the other hand, we are living in an interconnected world, with chats, blogs and social networks. This is the reason why is more important to write and read now than in the past. Because, we need to interact with other people through this technologies. For instance, think that you live in a far country and you are an illiterate, how do you plan to keep in touch with all your childhood-friends who moved to other countries? It is a little bit cruel, but it is true. Today it is so important to have this knowledge, we depend of many technologies which require that you write and read to be successful.

Everyday more and more people are acquiring devices like cell phones, laptops and video-game consoles to communicate and deliver information over the internet. In the past, big companies control the media and the content. Now, we are the new content generators and this is only possible when you have the capacity to read and write. A case in point is all those "Bloggers" over internet spreading lots of information about many topics.

In conclusion, I think that the ability to read and write totally more important today than in the past. We are able to operate and control machines thanks to this skill. Also, we can interact we many people around the world through social networks and we have become in a great generators and delivers of information over the internet. I believe that these skills are truly important if you want to success in the actual world.

Nowadays, we are surrounded BY more and more devices which require our /skill/ABILITY/ to read and write. And they need us to be operative.

On the other hand, we are living in an interconnected world, with chats, blogs and social networks. This is the reason why IT is more important to BE ABLE TO write and read now than in the past. SIMPLY because, we need to interact with other people through THESE technologies.

For instance, think that you live in a far-OFF country and you are an illiterate. How do you plan to keep in touch with all your childhood-friends who HAVE moved to other countries? It is a little bit cruel, but it is true. Today it is so important to have this knowledge, BECAUSE we depend of many technologies which require that you ARE ABLE TO write and read to be successful.

In the past, big companies controlLED the media and ITS content. Now, we are the new content generators and this is only possible when you have the capacity to read and write. A case in point ARE all those "Bloggers" over THE Internet /spreading/SHARING/ lots of information about many topics.

In conclusion, I think that the ability to read and write IS /totally/DEFINITELY/ more important today than in the past. We are able to operate and control machines thanks to this skill. Also, we can interact WITH many people around the world through social networks, and we have become great generators and deliverERs of information over the internet.
I believe that these skills are truly important if you want to succeED in TODAYS world.
