From my own experience in Deutschland Bill - I alway reckoned about the middle to end of of April before I would change my clothes. But in Germany I always found it was hard to see Spring coming until it had "Sprung"
Oh for a nice pair of shorts!!

Michael, it was sang by better singers before Gloria Gaynor was even born.
The Four Aces made a great recording of it in the Fifty's. _________________ Keep it simple ... Keep it interesting. |

Thank you so much for your compliment (blush). I like warm and hot weather, so I don't feel good. Sometimes I even think I've been born in the wrong country. |

You good folks should visit my country whenever you feel bored with the cold. We have 35 degrees celcius during the day and around 22-25 during the nights. @Kitos : Great essay, Kitos. One of these days, I am going to have to make an essay about how hot my country is with all the global warming around. I suppose you won't mind when I do? @Katy (or Katerina?) : Oh, hello there. Do not mind me, I am just a fellow learner. *sweet face mode : ON* *Whisper to Kitos* You were right about her smile... Anyways, if German and Belarus are cold, does it mean that cold beverage does not really sell? _________________ Need a speaking partner?

to Youscream_Icecream: do you live somewhere in Mediterranean? And cold beverage is successfully sold as well as ice cream even in winter =)
Well, now we also have fine warm weather and I'm happy about that!
Happy Easter to everyone! |

Wow. Here I am thinking that 18 degrees celsius is "cold" and you folks out there are eating ice creams in winter. You folks must have gotten used to the cold. Unfortunately, I do not reside anywhere near the area. My motherland is a tropical archipelago in south east Asia.
I wish you all a very good spring. I am experiencing...I don't exactly know what I am experiencing anymore, since in the last 10 years, the climate cycle in my country has been shifting greatly. We used to be able to predict the seasons, but now, not anymore.
Happy easter to you all. Anyone still have fun collecting easter eggs? _________________ Need a speaking partner?

I know that people who live in countries with such hot climate as you, Youscream_Icecream, do usually say: in your country it is cold for three months during the year and VERY COLD the other 9 months :)
And yes, we do eat ice cream in winter but usually at home :)
As to the collecting eggs... We have different tradition: we present each other easter eggs and children also have "egg fighting" |

Please, call me Y.I...
You are most correct, Katerina. I might look funny during summer in Belarus since I'll probably wear 5 layers of clothing whenever I am out and about. LOL. Egg fighting? That sounds fun! Would you mind telling me more about it? I don't really celebrate easter since I am not a christian myself. So I really don't know the mechanism of egg collecting and, uh, the actual function of easter rabbits (they are usually pink, aren't they?).
