Some people think that to keep animals in zoos is cruel and animals should only live in their natural habitat. Others think that zoos serve the purpose of educating people about animals that they would not normally have seen. Which argument do you favor and why? Use details and examples in your explanation.
In my opinion keeping animals in zoos is cruel because animals have their own life. They have all right to enjoy it. So they should be always set free and not be in caged. the purpose of educating people about animals can be also done through TV, internet etc. By keeping them in zoo means animals life is an danger.

Meghagan, there are some types of animals that cannot survive in the wild, because they are bred for captivity. For example, there are some types of rabbits that cannot run fast enough to escape danger, because they have been bred over hundreds of generations as pets. In those cases it is cruel to set the animals free.
