Childhood is a stage of life when the human being starts to learn about everything which surrounds him. At this moment of life a child draws his world through what he sees and feels. If a child lives in a violent society, then violence will make part of his world and his whole life is probably to be shaped by violence. There are many other kinds of bad behaviour adopted by children as normal actions such as domestic violence, rape and pedophilia which may cause damages to their morality and consequently will affect their development.
A school is a perfect place where all these misconcepts can be removed and substituted by an excellent pattern of life. But before we teach them this good style of life we should give them the real picture of the world so that they can be concerned about what’s going on in their societies and prevent them for activities related with sexual abuse amongst others. That’s why I believe that sexual education must be included in the school program. Sexuality is an important issue today once children are very exposed to the obscenity and imprudent contents. Sexual education can protect children against pornography network or avoid girls to get precocious pregnancy. This kind of lessons can also help to break the old prejudices related to women discrimination. Each boy and girl must be taught that they are the same and all deserve to be respected in the same way.
In conclusion, I reaffirm that children should be taught sexual education because certainly one day they will be dealing with social problems mentioned above so it's important to prepare them in advance. Teaching sexual education at school will prevent adults from tomorrow make the same mistakes that adults from today have done.
