Short for the Wireless Application Protocol, a secure specification that allows users to access information instantly via handheld wireless devices such as mobile phones, pagers, two-way radios, smartphones and communicators.
WML is the language used to create pages for WAP browsers.

Why would you call American people who have ancestors from Northern Europe WAP?

I suspect he is mixing it up with a very similar slang word for the people from a particular country, but the word I think he means is usually meant insultingly when it is used, so I won't repeat it here. _________________ Cheers m' dears! |

My guess would be that Noptawat is confusing WAP with WASP, which is an acronym for white, Anglo-Saxon, protestant.
From the Wiki entry for WASP:
| Quote: |
| The term originated in reference to white North Americans from the British Isles, particularly of English descent, who were Protestant in religious affiliation. The purpose of the term was to emphasize a perceived ethnic and cultural difference between English Protestants versus Southern German and French settlers in America, and to reinforce social stratification between the various cultures. |
