Dear Friends,
Let me share some interesting observation.
When you are using BE forms (as they are usually called) as verbs, you can use the direct negative of the verb.
For any other verb in present or past you may have to use a dummy or auxillary verb.
Eg:
1. It is a Lion.
It isn't(is +not) a Lion.
NOTE:Here "is" remains the main verb and its negative is directly used.
2. It Roars.
It doesn't(does+not) roar.
NOTE:Here roar is the main verb but we have to use DO/DOES (dummy verb) in the negative form.
