Hi Sureshvemuri,
Let me try an answer this for you ...
Ok First Point ....
An Option is "something available for you to do/have"
e.g. I had the option of buying the coat in red or blue, but not black. The type of coat I was looking at is not made in black.
A Choice is "something I can decide upon"
e.g. I had the choice of buying the coat in red or blue, but not black. The type of coat I was looking at is not made in black.
OK second point:
TELL is a word that needs subject and object .... (subject tells object)
Therefore ....
Quote:
I am telling that I saw an error page while testing a Web site (this already happened) :
.... is incorrect. There is no object.
In the above it is better to use ....
e.g. I am explaining that I saw an error page while testing a Web site (this already happened) :
or
I am telling people that I saw an error page while testing a Web site (this already happened) :
OK Third Point
Quote:
After click on the image, an error page IS displayed.
By using IS, you are saying that the action is a FACT! (it happens all the time) BUT do you mean passive or active? If you mean active then you need "I, he, she, you, they" .... e.g. After you click on the image
Quote:
After click on the image, an error page WAS displayed.
I really need to know the context of your question as a whole in relation to these two sentences to explain them correctly.

Hi Suresh,
To add to Rob's detailed explanation, and remembering what he has said about needing a personal pronoun:
"After I click on the image an error page is displayed." - use this if the error page displays every time, and you are still getting the error.
"After I clicked on the image, an error page was displayed." - use this if you mean that it happened in the past. _________________ Cheers m' dears! |

Thanks - HamburgEnglish, for your time and elaborate reply. It might have taken a lot of time to explain in this way - Great!
