Dear all,
I would like to know what is the difference between "networking" and "network"? And I also find it really hard to distinguish between "work" and "working" because they are both nouns.
Thank you very much.

my friend, i am not a teacher but i will tell you what i think. work and network are nouns, but working and networking are verbs.

1-if i say i am going to work.( work is a noun). i am working in my office ( working is a verb)

2- i am networking 5 computers( verb), or my home network is very secure(noun).

I hope this helps.

Actually, "networking" can be used as a noun.

Ex: The networking in this datacenter is carefully done.

In my opinion, "network" is defined as a system of connected computers while "networking" is the process of setting up & maintaining that network.

networking [ˈnɛtˌwɜːkɪŋ]
n
1. (Electronics & Computer Science / Computer Science) Computing the interconnection of two or more networks in different places, as in working at home with a link to a central computer in an office
2. forming business connections and contacts through informal social meetings
