Hi,
I won't bore you with the details. I'm bored myself with even thinking about it. Suffice to say we here in the UK are in the middle of a General Election campaign. At the moment politicians are desperate to be re-elected and so they're going around smiling at everyone, kissing babies and promising that with them everything in the garden will be lovely. And for the very first time in this country the leaders of the three main parties have agreed to have a live debate on television. There are rules; the audience can't clap, can't heckle and can't boo but certain members of the audience can read out their question. It's all very sterile, really but the first debate a couple of weeks ago caused a bit of a stir. The leaders of the two big parties had their usual spat but the leader of the third, smaller party, about whom we really knew little, came across much better than the other two. Suddenly this guy has become Mr Charisma and his party has suddenly risen in the opinion polls.
My question is and I'm sorry I've taken so long to get to it - must be something to do with watching all these debates - my question is: Who do you vote for? The policy or the personality of the leader?
