My name's Maxim, I'm from Belarus. For years I used to read different English texts (literature, science & so on), but I have no much practice in speaking and listening (especially fluent speech). So, I hope this site will help me to solve my language problems.

Hi, Savdasam! Of course, I can explain this. Black holes were stars earlier. Big stars, much bigger then our Sun. When such a star have used it's nuclear fuel (hydrogen and then helium), it starts to get colder and colder. Because it's getting colder, it's shrinking and getting denser. And because of raising density, the gravity is raising too. This process is called "collapse" and is going till the moment when light can't go out the star. So, we have a "black hole" - the star from which the light can't escape.
