Borrowing Money from friends damage friendship:

Many people argue that nothing harms the friendship and others say money is the biggest enemy in friendship. I strongly agree with the second opinion that borrowing money from a friend always damages the friendship. Friendship is easy to create but it is difficult to save it from ruin.

Once a man asked Hazrat Ali, “what is the difference between brother and a friend”? He replied, “brother is a gold and friend is a diamond”. The man asked, why you have given a less worth to brother over friend. He said that if there is any flaw occurs in gold, we can melt it and make it again as it was before but the flaw in a diamond cannot be removed.

Money always keeps importance in everyone’s life. Borrowing money is often considered to be a help or favour. But when the faith break down then it will damage and harm the friendship. Money almost finishes everything if it is not returned in time. It leads so many misunderstandings and finally ruins the friendship. I try not to lend money from my friends there are so many other ways like take loans from office, banks etc. So we should save our friendship. If someone need money help them without expecting that you will get back that money in future and I do not think that in this busy life where everyone is struggling for money, can forget money.

I personally had a bad experience involving with the money. Once my friend came to me and asked to borrow money. I did not say anything because I knew that she was in trouble. I even gave double money to her and she promised me that she will return after one month. I said do not worry. After six month when I was in a trouble, as life is unpredictable; I asked about money she said she will arrange money within 2,3 days but she did not arrange money and I was facing problems. When I had given money to her I did not share it with my family as well. After that she stopped answering my calls. I can understand that she must be in a problem of arranging money but at least she must discuss with me but she stopped talking and this money ruined my friendship.

In conclusion I would like to say money is the reality and borrowing money always ruin the good friendship. Money and friendship both are important in one’s life. While dealing with both one should be very careful. To develop a friendship is long and complicated process and it is very easy to destroy friendship. There are friends who used to say nothing can harm and damage our friendship and they can do anything for friendship. All these are bookish word but in real life it is totally different. Friend is a diamond and when there is a flaw occurs it can never go back to how it was.
