In dictionary, amigo means friends. But I heard people using amigo when they refer to Mexican guys. Is that a depreciate word to use?

Hi, Goashan
Regardig to your question... It is not a depreciate word.... it is very common to hear American saying that, so dont
worry... in stead of saying hey friend when the talk to spanish speaker they say " hey amigo"

Hello Gaoshan,

Concerning your answer. Amigo means friend, and this is the singular word in spanish. Instead the plural form is Amigos that means friends.
