I would also prefer harmony, Haihao.
It is possible for us both to win in this situation. We come from different cultures and define 'respect' differently as a result.
I accept that you have reacted to some of my posts as you have because you are an honourable gentleman. If, in return, you can try to accept that my posts, though strongly worded, bear no intended disrespect to Alan, then we can 'cease and repair' any damage before either of us become battle-scarred.
I have no wish to argue with you. I came to this forum to hold out my hand in friendship.

I am trying too, in vain though, to enjoy harmony here. Now I am getting to know a little better of the limitation of myself and the un-humbleness in myself. As you may have already been aware, BN, that too much disharmony has been brought on this site with too much energy wasted between the too intelligent men and women who all love to "hang out" here, unfortunately. I know it is none of my business to care for it...

Thank you, BN, for your manlike generosity and grace, and I wish a better friendship to be formed between us, facilitating my further concentration on the language itself from now on.
