take one + aside/along/away/apart? #1 (permalink) Sun May 02, 2010 11:48 am   take one + aside/along/away/apart?

Hi,
Can somebody tell me which the right answer is in this sentence:

Let's take one_____ and see how it works.

A) aside
B)along
C)away
D)apart

And one more question - when we have questions such as:
Can you tell me what...
Do you know what...
etc
Is there inversion after what ? ( my question in the beginning is similar )

Hi,

I would recommend 'apart' as that suggests you are going to look at something in detail and see how the different parts interact. The question is in the first part of the sentence: Can you tell me ? After 'what' you would have the usual order of subject + verb.
