i am a medical student and my university is HO CHI MINH medical and pharmacy university, and i am a senior student. i have learned english for 10 years, but i have not practiced my language so much. i am glad to make friends with all of you. i am looking for hearing from all of you.

I can read you are studying medicine in Vietnam, then I´m much older than you because my son, who is 22, is also studying medicine in Madrid, 120 kilometres away.

to Boke: Ho Chi Minh city or Saigon is the same place. I'm living there too.

Fathao, I knew they were the same place and I know "officially" the name is Ho Chi Mihn but I was wondering if the local people still used the old name of Saigon to refer to it.

yeah, I think you were right. according to my knowledge, Saigon had its name approximately 300 years ago and the name"Ho Chi Minh" approximately 40 years ago, so the local people is familiar with that name. do you know Ho Chi Minh-the leader of our revolution?
