| I'd think "You and I are/come from the same town!" is a natural expression, but if you want a word for it then the choices could be: countryman, townee, home boy, etc. I would guess you want an English equivalent for the Chinese word "Tong Xiang", but as far as I know, even those equivalents listed above are not used in English as the way in Chinese. |

Hi,
how about "fellow countrymen". On the first glance it seems a tad to global. But like Haihao wrote apparently there isn't a word that refers to people comming from the same city.

| I agree with Michael, and "fellow countrymen" is more closer to what was concerned about the expression. |

Hi Haihao,
I think I know what you mean but I believe the expression you need is 'Yes, that's spot on.'

You probably mean 'place' not 'palce'. Also, please note that in English we start every sentence starts with a capital letter and we also capitalize the word 'I'.

Hi Alan,
I slipped again with an "English phrase" made in Japan, like "salaryman"... :-) I couldn't help laughing at myself this time. :-) Thank you!
