People remember special gifts or presents that they have received. Why? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
It goes without saying that everybody loves receiving presents. Whether a gift is useful or not, what is of the utmost importance is the symbolic value it conveys: some people care about you and want the best for you. You will remember each of the presents you have received, because they are tokens of affection and respect.
To begin with, you may receive presents for celebrating your birthdays, your graduations, your wedding anniversaries, and so on. People wish you live longer and happier, as well as have a brighter future. Their attendance is a gift in itself; they are there to share your happiness. Additionally, what makes a present special is that it is offered surprisingly, regardless of the special days of the calendar. Every day should be mother’s day, father’s day, children’s day, friendship’s day, and so forth. Thus, gifts can evoke joyful events.
When it comes to supporting you, if you feel sick, sad or overwhelmed, people are there to share your sorrows and cheer you up with some flowers, cookies, Teddy bears, and the like. They hope you get well soon from your sickness or injuries, recover from your losses, and overcome overwhelming circumstances that are causing you so much suffering. Hence, you recall their sympathetic and emphatic attitude towards you.
By giving gifts to customers or prospects, companies can stimulate their businesses opportunities: they gain some extra business or acquire referrals. New and prospective clients are pleased about receiving corporate gifts, whether small or large, because it shows that they are valued. Corporate gifts are considered to be tokens of trust. For example, cards, tickets, stationery goods, or even trips can be given to customers as a means of thankfulness and trustworthiness.
In short, why do people remember gifts that they have received? The answer is very simple indeed: presents signify that the receiver is cherished and treasured. Gifts are well kept in our memories, because they are mementos of lovingness, friendship, or respectfulness. Presents leave footprints in our hearts, since givers spend time and money in offering us a kind gesture. ............................................................................................................................... Superb work Mil.
