Hi, Kitos. It's great to come back to our forum. I have delayed to write essays for a time because of the term examination and mother locked my computer. It's time I had to practice more to compensate for the time I have lost. I've just completed 2 essays. Please check it for me. Thank you in advance -------------------- Essay topic 68: Many teachers assign homework to students everyday. Do you think that daily homework is necessary for students? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer. Nowadays, many students are overloaded with daily homework. They are also discouraged from learning and lose lots of their time because of this. Therefore, I don't think that daily homework is necessary for students.
Firstly, students are overloaded with a great deal of homework everyday. After a long hard day at school, their brains need to relax to recover and produce new ideas. Continuous assignments will lead to tired brains, which reduce the efficiency and creativity of the students. This situation is like a computer memory. If you want to store too MANY things in it and use it for hours on end, it will work more slowly and even stop working one day.
Secondly, many students find learning boring when they have to deal with a lot of homework. In fact, not all students complete their homework before going to school, they often copy these exercises from others in case the teachers ask them to hand them in. As a consequence, they will lose the habit of regular practice to learn new thingS(,) and get used to depending on others to do that. Since homework is created to help students learning, that makes the purpose of doing homework less effective and also disappoints the teachers.
Finally, daily homework of unimportant subjects occupies lots of time which is very valuable for students to focus on their interesting ones. For example, in my country, students in a class specializING in Maths still have to do a lot of exerciseS in Geography. They must spend a lot of time to do so; thus, they have less time to work on new mathematical problems. So daily homework, to some extent, preventS students from making good use of their time.
In conclusion, I think that homework is necessary but it doesn't need to be given everyday. A proper amount of homework can help students learn better and interest them in learning as well. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Again good LE.
