I have more essays I have made....
Topic: Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Watching television is bad for children. Use specific details and examples to support your answer.
"The Idiot Box", this is what intelligent people call the television at times. Although the television provides fun, information and entertainment, it can be detrimental to children. The following essay will discuss the disadvantages of television to children.
To start, the idiot box provides informations which are very irrelevant to what children should know. Some programs or shoes, mostly comedies, provide false information or acts which younger generations might actually think as behaviorally correct. For instance, some cartoons shows that punching and having physical fight is fun, so, children immitates them, creating a trouble making child. Another more specific examples is "Sponge Bob", he acts stupidly most of the time, although he is seen fun or comedic, he seems to be not a model of righteousness. The program caters stupidity and with that childrean of not appropriate age and hose who could not decipher between right and wrong should be prevented on watching such.
Another, the idiot box makes a child dumb. A child without limit on watching television will hate studying. Television is fun and entertaining, it is a fact, but parents should limit children's time from watching television. For example, a parent should have a deal with her child to study first before watching television, thus, it creates positive reinforcement to the child.
As a conclusion, watching television is not good for children. The reasons are very clear that children's health and knowledge ability might be compromised. Personally, I agree that television is bad for children. |

I don't know if my penmanship is the problem why I keep on getting 6 and 6.5 on my essay exam aside from the fact that I really did not prepare before when I took IELTS... Right now, I am trying to do some essays from the example questions I have searched in the internet. I hope someone would be so kind to assess the strength of my essay and tell me the flaws... I would accept any kind of judgement... thank you in advance!
Topic: Many students choose to attend schools or universities oiutside their home countries. Why do some students study abroad? Use specific reasons and detatils to explain your answer.
A lot of countries nowadays offer courses to students from abroad. Students from foreign countries prefer to study abroad due to various reasons. Some of these reasons why students prefer to study abroad is that
THE STANDARD OF education in these foreign lands is better in terms of teaching and curriculum, it is cheaper, and they can learn the cultural differences in these countries. ANOTHER reason why students prefer to study abroad is that education offered in foreign lands is better. Foreign students will learn a lot of knowledge and skills which they could use To be more competitive when they graduate and work. They can be more productive and skilled, thus, they will be successful and fulfilled with their chosen profession. Another, education in other nations, such as the Philippines, is cheaper. Students and their family can spend theIr money ON other needs such as food, shelter or recreation. For example, the Koreans and Indians prefer to study in the Philippines because they spend LESS money THAN THEY WOULD WERE THEY TO STUDYrather than studying in the United Kingdom or Canada. In the end, the money they have SAVED could be spent on Other things they want. STUDENTS also prefer to study abroad because they woUld like to EXPERIENCE other countries’ way of living. They could learn the religious and socio-cultural differences in these countries from theirs. With this, they could learn how to live harmoniously with other people they meet.
In conclusion, /students prefer to study abroad because/STUDENTS FEEL THAT/; they would like to learn different cultures, education in THE other countries is MORE cost-effective, and THE STANDARD OF education is far better than what they would receive when studying locally in their country. These are just a few of the reasons why students prefer to study abroad. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Good morning Clapicusrein. Two reasons stand out for your poor previous scores. The first is your poor spelling of simple words, and the second is glaringly obvious from the deletions I have made to your text above.
Kitos. ps. Each essay should be posted separately as a "New Topic." Three essays per day is your limit. Far better that you write one very good essay as opposed to churning out lots of poor essays.
Topic: Your schools has enough money to purchase either computers for students or books for the library. Which should your school choose to buy- computers or books? Use specific reasons and examples to support your recommendation.
Technology is very common nowadays, lesser people use books to study. If a school is to choose between books and computers to purchase, I would recommend that the schools must prioritize buying computers. The school must buy more computers becayse computers can access more information, it is faster to find data needed, and it is interactive. The following paragraphs will explain further. Firstly, computers can give a lot more information to students. It is very evident that almost everything is laready present in computers. Internet, which can be accessed through computers provides all the information needed by the students, may it be e-books, research papers, literary works, and many more. Thus, information through the use of computers gives students more knowledge.
Secondly, it is easier and faster to browse information through the internet. This gives students more time to study. Computers may also help students on their typing needs because there are programs on computers where a student can type documents. Students may even store data on computers which they can later on use. As a result, students would have less difficulty studying.
Lastly, computers connects to networks which links one computer to another— it is interactive. Students may share information easily to their friends and classmates. They can even communicate through the computers and share ideas. With that, students will be motivated to study more and education will be less boring. To sum it all up, computers helps in a lot more ways than books. Computers can provide more informations to students, it is less time-consuming to browse data, and it creates friendship and communication between peers, classmates and even to their teachers. I recommend that schools must choose to purchase computers rather than books because of all the reasons I have stated.
Topic: People recognize difference between children and adults. What events (experiences or cermonies) make a person an adult? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your answer.
Adulthood, a very crucial stage in a human’s life. “How do we become an adult?”, a quesition very commonly heard from children. We become an adult ion various circumstances.
One of the obvious time wherein we call a person an adult is by distingusihing the person’s physical features. An adult is tall, looks older and is at least eighteen years of age. The person is studying in college or already a graduate and may be working. The person may also have been married and has a family of his own. Another reason we call a person an adult, is at the time the person takes responsibility. The person could handle stress and problems in life. The person also has the capability to decide on his own and is capable of havin the right decision. People would appreciate him with that, and as a result, he would feel fulfilled, satisfied and contented. These are just a few if the reasons why a person is called an adult. In my point of view, an adult person is an individual who is of right age, has work or us studying college or has a family of his own. Moreover, a person also becomes an adult when he is able to take responsibility and is capable of choosing the right decisions.
Topic: People do many things to stay healthy. What do you do for good health? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
When health is tge topic, physical well being is associated with it almost all the time. But there are other aspects of health wherein a person may be considered as a healthy person. Some of the examples, aside from physical well being, are emotional and spiritual health.
To begin with, a perosn is healthy when he has a normal weight, a leaner body, and is not inflicted with any illnesses. Physical health is the most basic explanation of health. A physically fit person eats a lot of nutritious food, drinks a lot of water and is active in maintaining a healthy body through physical excercise. It is obvious that a person who is physically fit and is not suffering from and disease be considered healthy.
Another form of health is “Emotional Health”. A person who is emotionally healthy is a fulfilled and satisfied person. He is fulfilled due to various reasons such as having intimate relationship, success on business life or professional experience. Thus, he is satisfied with what he achieved. A satisfied person becomes emotionally stable and as result, he is considered emotionally healthy. Lastly, there is a so-called spiritual health wherein a person forms a good relationship with the Lord. Being spiritually healht makes a man love and care everyone around him because he wants to follow God’s teachings. With this, everyone around hime will love and care him in return. When a perosn is loved by many because of his belief to God, he is considered “Spiritually Healthy”.
In conclusion, a person may become healthy in various wats and these aspects of health links with one another. A healthy person is not just physically fit but he must also be emotionally stable and spiritually guided. |
