Hello everyone! Tue Jul 13, 2004 8:24 am  Hello everyone!

Hi Torsten Smile)
Well, I had a wonderful week-end!!! You know, there`s a Beer Festival in Moscow & it opened on Saturday & will be opened till this Sunday!!! One can spend there a whole day and all his money... So, my frineds and I went there (a kind of tradition of going there during last 4 years). And in the evening we went to the country where we cooked a delicious shashlik! We had such fun!!! I wish all of you had the same fun! Anyway, I`ve had a rest so I`m ready to work this week again Smile))

Moscow beer festival and shashlik? Tue Jul 13, 2004 8:31 am  Moscow beer festival and shashlik?

Hi Jailbird,

Please do tell us more about the «Moscow Beer Festival»! You said it was the the fourth time that it took place? Who organizes it? How many companies take part in? How many brands of beer are on offer? Is it an international event? Also, could you please explain to our new forum users the word «Shashlik»? Thanks.

Hello everyone! Tue Jul 13, 2004 8:40 am  Hello everyone!

Hi Torsten Smile)
Well, I`ll first explain the new word for you. Shashlik-is a special dish which consist of small pieces of meat fried in a brazier. It`s eaten with hot sauce and vegetables. You should try it..It`s very tasty when cooked properly. Remeber by the way, only men can cook a delicious shashlik!!! Smile)
And about the Beer Festival-in fact I don`t remember exactly how many brands were offered this year...But the Festival as far as I remeber isn`t international. Mostly Russian brands are sold, though there`re some international trades like (Effes Pilsener, Holsten & others) which are cooked in Russia. So we call it Russian beer for it doesn`t taste like German beer or something like that..
