While we live in our hometown, every possible change about it will probably have effects on our lives. As a result, if a new movie theater were going to be built in my neighborhood, some residents would oppose this while others would support it. From my point of view, I think a movie theater would be a good addition to my hometown because it would provide chances for residents to be entertained, generate jobs and attract business.

To begin with, a new movie theater would provide an entertainment place for residents in my hometown. In fact, three movie theaters recently are not appropriate to us to relax because it is too far away. Therefore, if a new one is built, it will partially satisfy our amusement demand. For instance, people go there can enjoy new and famous movies from many countries in the world. We also can have fun with our family members and friends. Indeed, a new movie theater would become an interesting place for our relaxation.

In addition, a new movie theater will generate jobs. For example, workers, engineers, architects will be hired in order to build the theater during its construction. After that, employees, managers will be needed to organize it. Therefore, the addition would bring more opportunities for people in my hometown to get jobs and decrease the number of unemployed people.

Finally, the new movie theater will likely attract business. It is true that when a movie theater is built, it will bring about extra services. Stores, restaurants will be opened in order to serve customers before and after they watch movies. For example, in the past, after a movie theater’s construction finished, it immediately attracted a big restaurant and many drinking shops to open. Certainly, a new movie theater will lead to business development in my hometown.

In sum, though some may oppose the plan, I think a new theater would be a great addition to my hometown. This addition not only gives residents opportunities to relax and get jobs but also attracts business.
