Possessive Adjectives (Unit 4) #227 (permalink) Mon Feb 15, 2010 8:28 am   Possessive Adjectives (Unit 4)

Good morning dear Torsten and other classmate, (if it's morning by your local time).

I'm Meltaif from Sudan; I have been developing my language skills in this wonderful place since 30, Jan 2010.
Up to this moment I'd say confidently, I'm doing my best. I use to do much better in the tests you're always sending to me through e-mail, even sometimes I'm practicing beyond the lesson that I should stick with.

I learned a lot of things from you and from my classmate, its so interesting when you could read what the other says in English and try to notice their faults. It’s highly valuable to develop yourselves from 'both-side' teachers & classmate isn’t it.

Finally, I'm really surprised about English-test.net team keenness in making English Language easy and tolerance for non-native English speakers like myself.

Thank you for the tremendous effort,
Meltaif

My name is feyikemi, i'm a new member. This is my second time of attending your lecture. I just completed possessive adjectives -unit 4. But i use to have challenges on how to use past tense, present participle, past participle, and also been, being, have, has, had, have been, has been, had been etc. and is there anything like HAVE BEING, HAS BEING, HAD BEING

Dear Torsten,

I didn't give up.I rather over-fulfilled it.This day I was listening to audio materials about four hours.Yesterday evening when I went to bed I listened the BBC 7- what I had been recording on Sunday morning 10:00-11:15 am; it was a short story- and I began to understand it's about a woman who is fed up with her family, with her children and husband. It seams very interesting, I won't rest until I understand it totally with lot of listening.

Today the first thing was a hit song , its title " I'm sorry" ,Brenda Lee, the famous pop-singer sang it in the sixties.
The second was "Massive earthquake in Chile" from the World Update Television news.It was subtitling in English, it was easier to understand but I heard it till I could understand without subtitling.
The third was a practical audio material with subtitling. Its title was: " How to make a sandbag " It was very useful because its technical expressions can use in day-to-day conversation. I didn't abandon its hearing till I understand without watching the subtitling.

I don't know that I ought to send this letter on this page?
If not, please write me where I send the next.

Thank you.

Hi Torsten,

I like your english lesson, they are really interesting, I'm work in a factory it's a dental factory, My job is a little stressed by I like it.

My boss is a nice person, his daughter works in the factory too.

My mother is a quiet person but she likes to make things with her hands.

I have 3 sisters older than me, they have children. All their children are in the school.

Well that are some sentences for practices.

Good Night

Dear Torsten, thanks a lot for the e.mail lessons. So far Im practising as much as I can.
I discover that I had some difficulties with the "hear and listen".
I found these lessons very useful. I want to read stories, because I want to increase my vocabulary. Sometimes I don't have a clear idea when to use the verb ended in ing. I mean not as a verb, in a continuos tense. But for example...I like reading. He can´t hearing because he is too far. Thanks a lot! best regards,
