Nowadays second even third language are the most important features to find a job after graduating from university. Because of that reason children are starting to learn foreign language while they are going to 4th grade and than they are taking same language class for 6 or 7 years. With effective teachers and effective teaching system 7 years is enough to learn one foreign language even two foreign languages. Children in kindergarten are open to every new thing. They can easily accept and understand new knowledge. In my opinion teaching foreign language to the children who are going to the kindergarten is not good for these two reasons one is cultere complication and the other is there is more important things to be tought.
First of all children who are going to the kindergarten are about 4 or 5 years old and child who is 4 years old is still trying to understand his native language and native culture these two points are not clear for 4 years old child. As I said children in the kindergarten are open to every new thing so if you give them a foreing language and culture they will adapt foreing culture while they are adapting their own culture and language and this complication could be harmful for children’s native culture. However when children are going to 4th grade they will be understand their culture and their language after that they can learn foreign languages and cultures eventhough they’ll have a chance to consider and assimilate a culture.
Secondly, in my opinion there is more important things to be though to children while they are going to the kindergarten. For example ethic behaviours and ethic thinking should have a prime priority because, according to scientists 5 or 6 years old children are prodisposition to violence and harmful behaviours reason of these prodisposition is children think that’s funy and because of that I think teachers prime pirority should be teaching ethics instead of teaching foreign languages.
Briefly, teaching foreign language in the kindergartens is a bad idea for these reasons. It could be affect children’s culture and their native language and also there is more important things to be thought to childrens than teaching foreing language.
