Hi,

I'm not really sure what your question is. Let me therefore explain the whole sentence as follows:

When I am on holiday (taking a holiday) and I am free of/away from radios/telephones/traffic, I experience perfect bliss (pure happiness) because in my opinion silence is as valuable to me as gold.

My parents used to use this expression when I was a child when they wanted me to be quiet. I guess I was a little too talkative at times! :D
