Hi,

I wanted this to be a kind of joke when I wrote it because I am suggesting that the lorry driver has knocked the Fiesta (a small car) out of the way.

what's wrong with note? And could I say "a final message TO the driver"?

Hi Samesame,

A note is usually written but a message can be both written and spoken.
