Hi Ahmeeeeeeeeeed,

We'd generally hyphenate '40-minute':

- It's a 40-minute drive.

In that case, '40-minute' is a hyphenated adjective. It's similar to saying things like this:

- a ten-year-old boy
- a three-time oscar winner
