- Someone musters (up) the courage to do something.
- Someone musters (up) his/her courage to do something.
- Someone musters (up) the courage and does something.
- Someone musters (up) his/her courage and does something.

These are all grammatically correct and they mean the same thing, don't they?

Here are examples of the four:
- He finally mustered (up) the courage to ask her on a date.
- He finally mustered (up) his courage to ask her on a date.
- He finally mustered (up) the courage and asked her on a date.
- He finally mustered (up) his courage and asked her on a date.
