My favorite teacher is Prof. Schneeweiss who articulates conceptions and beliefs about teaching and learning. He so inspires me. The more I know him, the more I admire him. He makes me more stronger than before.
The way how he teaches, he is playing as an actor in place. For the performance to be successful, it has to be interesting, and well organized. You have to make things understandable, right? He said to me, “You can act as an actor, and you teach as nothing. But that is not good enough. You need to have the content. You should know the subject well, and need to be able to teach. The single most important attribute for a successful teacher is enthusiasm.” He likes to make jokes, to make people laugh. He never thought. Not because necessarily he thought to do it in that way, nor it could be thought. He could do it, just because how he is, what just as the mother does. That explains some of arts behind who he is. He prepares but he should not know everything. Do you think you have to know all the answers? You can’t know about anything. If he doesn’t know the answer, to admit that he says, “Emm I don’t know the answer right now. I need to look it up.” And that is part of education for the students as well, otherwise they think you know everything, and that is then intimidating for them. That makes you more human, right? I am just kidding.
When the topic is very dry, he usually try to find out what is he would like to know that will stimulate students to think, something that makes it more sparkling. When I have self doubt whether I can do it, he will come closer to me and asking whether I truly enjoy and passionate what I am doing. He said, “The more you do it, the easier it becomes.” Then, he really grabbed my attention.
I learn from him how to project my voice and my behavior in certain way that is more interesting for the people in the audience. Indeed, I admire him and may adapt some of him.
Thank you very much for listening.
Lina

From my point of view, most American teachers are helpful to the students, effective and awesome. Most teachers have always let no single student left behind. They really concern to the students, especially to the international students. They are usually available and open for students’ consultation. All you need is just appointment and punctual. Most of them respect for students, they help each student set and reach goals and give informative feedback regarding progress toward the goals.

Name it University of Washington School of Medicine has many top-notch faculty members. Harborview Medical Center, UW Medical Center, and UW Medical Center’s Roosevelt Clinic physicians also as the faculty members at the UW School of Medicine, mostly always give attention to the students, responsiveness to the students need, and even sensitive to the students struggle beyond the bedside while keep the best treating and caring for the patients. It comes to me as no surprise that the UW School of Medicine again has been ranked first for the 17th consecutive year among primary care medical schools in the USA according to U.S. News and World Report 2010.

Many thanks for stopping by,
Lina
