"We find comfort among those who agree with us ___ growth among those who don't."
A marvelous proverb indeed: The phrase not only introduces a thought, it also indicates the true nature of human beings. I will essay my thoughts about the phrase below.
First of all, a human mind is the fastest, unbelievable, result generating machine. It works much faster than we can comprehend. It adjusts itself according to the surroundings even before we know it. A person coming out from a dark room adjusts his eye focus automatically, he do not need to send special commands to his mind to do so. Similarly, the human mind adjusts in the environment in which he is living. It happens unconsciously, and hence people often do not know, how or why they are reacting in a particular manner, in a particular atmosphere.
Besides, as an individual, we can notice that when we live with our parents, we are much more comfortable. As they cater to our needs, we become relaxed and make less effort to improve our own lives. On the contrary, when a person lives on his own, all of his six senses starts working promptly. He gives attention to issues which he may have never considered in his life before. He puts pressure on himself and utilizes his whole energy and ideas to flourish. This is the reason why parents often underestimate their children. They think that their children are not capable of managing on their own. However, this is not the case. Relying on parents, sometimes makes children lazy and comfort seeking. Although they are able to show their true aptitude when they live independently.
Additionally, the same effect applies to nations. People living in regions where the population is large develop diverse qualities and have a habit of inputting more effort than others. They are more adept and talented. They utilize their energy to a greater extent than others. It is simply because of the competition around them. People from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, China and other populated nations are a symbol of hard work for others. It is often seen that a mediocre student from these areas, when he moves out of his country for higher studies or a particular job, shows more skills than even local students or workers. This shows how the proverb truly applies on our lives.
Also, this proverb is responsible of generating the latest, most versatile ideas, thoughts, achievements and developments of human beings in businesses, art, science and agriculture. The competition comes into play when we live with people who have diverse natures and varying talents. Each of us try to show his/her individuality by creating his/her own set of unique work, which is different from that of others. This helps not only individuals to flourish, but also helps in an overall improvement process of human beings.
In brief, this proverbs explains the continuous growth and development of mankind on earth. ...................................................................................................................... More great work from Mrs. Saqib. Please review closely.
