My question is.For example,my mum wants me to call my father to pick up the laundry.
So when i call my father do i say:
1)Dad,mum wanted me to tell you to pick up the laundry
OR
2)Dad,mum wants me to tell you to pick the laundry

Which 1 is correct and what is the difference between these 2 sentences?
Thank you

All the questions you've posted in this session are obviously along the same theme Mr Kong. Ifyou have read the other answers, then by now, you might be able to work this out for yourself.

Both are correct. There is very little discernible difference in meaning. The past tense sentence indicates that mum asked you earlier. The present tense version indicates that she may be asking now or she may have recently asked you, but this is the first opportunity you've had to pass the message on.
