Hi Godzilla,

This is the standard question when you want to know the name of the person calling (ringing up/telephoning).

difference vs different #3 (permalink) Wed Mar 04, 2009 15:19 pm   difference vs different

Good morning Torsten, I did that test that you sent me "On the phone" and got all of then right.
I still don't know the difference between "difference" and "different".
Also can you explain to me when do I use this conjunction/preposition "than" and the adverb "then". I am getting better in my English, but as you can see I still have little holes in my head. Another word that I am confuse is on how to use "use" and used".

Thanks to all of you for you help.

Hi Ara,

If you check your dictionary you will find that 'difference' is a noun while 'different' is an adjective. Used is the simple past or past participle of the verb use. As for than and then, simply read English texts to see how those words are used in context. Here is an example: How to use 'than'?

Thanks,
Torsten
