Stray/ wander/ pace Wed Dec 21, 2005 10:25 am  Stray/ wander/ pace

Hello,
The verb "stray" means not to walk on the right way, to take the wrong direction. If you stray from the road, it means that you are on the wrong road and you may get lost.
In this example the meaning is that the lamb is not with the rest of the flock and is maybe lost, because it went the wrong direction and not after the other lambs.
The verb “wander” means to move from place to place without a fixed route.
The verb “pace” means to walk back and forth moved by some strong, usually negative feeling, especially when you are very nervous, impatient or worried about something.

Hope this makes it clear! Smile Success!
