Good afternoon, mr. Kitos. Here is nother couple of writings=) I hope they are not too bad.
The reading and the lecture present opposing points on the eco-tourism. The reading passage describes benefits for the nature, local people and the government, whereas the professor states that students should not believe that green-tourism does not have drawbacks.
First of all, the professor alleges that infrastructure for tourism should be built. It means that the creation of roads and places to live not only costs a lot, but also leads to the pollution of air and water.
Furthermore, according to the reading, when the government decides to create attractions for tourism, it begins to protect specific areas and bans any harmful activities taking place there. On the other hand, the speaker points that the corruption of the government usually makes it possible to continue illegal hunting and logging.
Finally, the professor touches on a fact that local people do not benefit at all in this case. Although many jobs are created, it causes "cultural pollution". Local people, who used to work as hunters and farmers, now have to work in hotels, surf the Internet and so on.
In conclusion, the professor says that each coin has two sides. In case of eco-tourism they are pollution, illegal use of nature resources and the change of customs of local human beings. ....................................................................................................................... Good practice my friend.
