My family’s tradition is that every three months all family members mobilize at our home to live and do any activities together. My hometown is in the North of Thailand, and my family members that include father, mother, aunt and uncle live in there. But their descendants who include me, MY sister and brother live in Bangkok. Our family members live separately because of our own work. We have been living apart for ten years since I studied in the university, and we rarely go back home because each person is busy with their work. Thus, my parents set up the rule that every three months all family members must go back home. No matter we have any important business. For example, last year, Chinese New year festival coincides with Valentine day. We have to make a decision between celebrate Chinese New Year with our family and celebrate Valentine day with our lover. Finally, because of our family’s rule, all of siblings are willing to go back home to celebrating Chinese New year with our family’s member. When we go back home, there are various kinds of activities that we do together. For example, in April, there is Thai New year festival which is so called Songkran day. The family person who is junior will pay a respect TO the elder persons by pouring water on the hands revered TO them and ask for A blessing. We believe that it BRINGS luck in our future. In August, our family has a travel plan. We go abroad to travel. Sometimes we visit our relative in China. In the winter season, we mobilize in our hometown. We have a donation activity. Every year we go to the countryside in order to donate money and others facilities, including clothes to aLL needy persons. All in all, I think that my family‘s tradition is important because it KEEPS our family relationship VERY close in spite of the fact that we live apart. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Hello Groffy. This was a very nice essay.Nice to have such a close family.
