Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents or other adult relatives should make important decisions for their older (15 to 18 year-old) teenaged children. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.

In most families, it is the case that the parents know her children the best. Whenever really important decisions need to be made, in this particular age, the parents should still do it in my opinion. Of course it sounds hard and also the children wont like to be dictated by someone but duo to some facts it is the best to do so I guess. Let´s have a look why I consider the situation this way instead of the opposite.

First of all children could not be experienced enough in this age, to make really important decisions which impacting his or his or her future. They have been just through a couple of years school and have had not the opportunity to see whats going on in “real” life, so they just had to trust in what the elder people saying. Despite this fact it is also sometimes the case, that teenager are going through a up and down of hormones what decreases the ability of making wise decisions.

Secondly there are also negative sites of getting everything dictated. Parents should just make decisions in order to make sure, that future related thinks, which are important going well. The young years of a child are the most important regarding to what he or she is learning, therefore it is no good when the one learns, there is always somebody who protected me and make decisions. I think this would has hugh impacts on the future “decision-ability “ of the teenager.

In conclusion I can say that I agree with the statement above because children in this age are not experienced enough and there could also be negative “aftermaths” on getting everything dictated, so this should just be the case on important things.

Hello Kitos,

it has been a while since my last time, but here I am once again :) just have a short look on it ...

Thank you

In most families, it is the case that the parents know THEIR children the best. Whenever really important decisions need to be made AT this particular age, the parents should still do it in my opinion. Of course it sounds hard and also the children wont like to be dictated TO by someone but DUE to some facts it is the best to do so I guess. Let´s have a look why I consider the situation this way instead of the opposite.

First of all children could not be experienced enough AT this age to make really important decisions which impact ON his or his or her future. They have been through ONLY a couple of years schoolING and have NOT HAD the opportunity to see whats going on in “real” life, so they just had to trust in what the elder people ARE saying. Despite this fact(,) it is also sometimes the case that teenager are going through a up and down of hormones THAT decreases the ability of making wise decisions.

Secondly there are also negative siDes of getting everything dictated. Parents should just make decisions in order to make sure that future related thinGs, which[/s are important(,) ARE INDEED going well. The young years of a child are the most important regarding to what he or she is learning, therefore it is no good when the one learns, there is always somebody who ALWAYS protectS me and make decisions. I think this would haVE A hugh impact on the future “decision-MAKING-ability “ of the teenager.

In conclusion I can say that I agree with the statement above(,) because children AT this age are not experienced enough(,) and there could also be negative “aftermaths” IN HAVING everything dictated, so this should just be the DONE WITH important things.

Hello Chris. Nice to have you back again. You seem to have a recurring problem with "things". Why do you write "thinks?" I've noticed this several times.

OK, your essay is too light-hearted. It is supposed to be more serious. You cannot write contractions in your work. This fault will cause you to lose marks in your TOEL exam.
Other than that, your work was OK.

Kitos. 7/10

Oh yes I see, the issue with the contraction makes sense. And don´t ask me about "things" maybe once learned is hard to get out but to be honest I´ve not recogniced it till now, somehow...
I try to do better the next time! But despite this contraction it was good, wasn´t it?
