Hey there,
my situation is the following. I have a conditional offer by a very good grad school and need to get a 550 on the verbal (somehow GMAT of 760 was not enough). I plan to take the test in the beginning of August. I did a powerprep (the software by ETS) mock test for the first time two days ago. Scored 420 with the following braking: Sentence Completion - 6 out of 6 Antonyms - 2 out of 9 Word Analogies - 3 out of 7 Reading Comprehension - 7 out of 8
Since the offer is for 700 on Q and I scored 790 from first try I won't spend time on it (or on AWA at that matter)
So far figured out all I need is to work on my vocabs and get some strategies for the A and WA sections (got an old 2005 or so Kaplan Verbal prep book I'll use for some vocabs and strategies). My plan is to do as many tests (from the big book) as possible and take out the unknown world and....ah well learn them :)
Any suggestions how I can be more effective? Thanks in advance.
Cheers, Ivan |
