Students at universities often have a choice of places to live. They may choose to live in university dormitories, or they may choose to live in apartments in the community. Compare the advantages of living in university housing with the advantages of living in an apartment in the community. Where would you prefer to live? Give reasons of your preference.
If I were a university student, I would choose one of the university dormitories to live in rather than an apartment in the community. Living in a university dormitory is more convenient and easier for students. They do not have to worry about to spend their money by buying furniture. Usually, the essential furniture such us bed, student desk and so on are provided by the university dormitory.
Moreover, students do not have to spend their time by cooking their meals or doing grocery shop. By having their meals in a university cafeteria is more convenient for the students. This way, they do not have to waste their time by cooking or doing cleaning. So, they can spend more time on their studies.
On the other hand, living in an apartment they would have to spend their money buying furniture and kitchen appliances. After a long day attending lecture classes, they would have to spend part of their time cooking, cleaning and doing grocery shopping.
For most of the students, THIS is their first time to be away from home. IN the beginning, they might feel lonely and homesick. Living in a dormitory they would have more opportunity to make friends than living in apartments.
Living in a dormitory they might not feel so lonely and homesick. Firstly, they would make friendS with their room-mates and their classmates. So, they could hang out in their free time and they can help out each other OUT with their assignments and homework. In an apartment they might have room-mates but still they are not living in a university dormitory where they could meet their classmates all the time, or even to get to know other students at the university cafeteria.
In a university dormitory, they do not need to commute to attend classes. Therefore, they could save their money and their time by doing extra class activities for example: by practicing sports. As usually apartments are located at outside of the university complex, students would have to drive their own car or at least take A bus to attend their classes.
Therefore, for all benefits that living in university dormitories would be able to bring to students, by being more convenient, by having more opportunities to make friends and by allowing students to be more focused in their studies and assignments, I do believe that living in university dormitories is the best option for students. ....................................................................................................................... Your best work to date Spoon. Congratulations.
