Question 4 -This is a complete sentence! If you removed "now and again" then students could select "sometimes" as the correct answer. Question 3 also has "all my life" which isn't needed. Question 7 is strange.

Yeah, I agree that "sometimes" and "now and again" essentially mean the exact same thing. I think something's up with the test sentence.
