Countable vs. uncountable nouns #2 (permalink) Tue Dec 27, 2005 15:35 pm   Countable vs. uncountable nouns

'
The word is countable nouns-- things that can be counted.

The sentence speaks of kinds of juices-- orange juice, apple juice, etc-- and there are similarly kinds of drinks-- cola, ginger ale, Pokari Sweat, etc.-- and these can be counted: I listed two kinds of juice and three kinds of drink (or, two juices and three drinks).

Only the liquid itself is uncountable: there isn't much orange juice in the pitcher.
