where do you go to school? #1 (permalink) Fri Jul 09, 2010 17:05 pm   where do you go to school?

Hi,

in Brazil, "where do you go to school?" sounds a little strange, mainly if we take into consideration the answer "I go to Saint Anthony School." I was trying to imagine what an incomplete sentence/answer would be like: "to Saint Anthony School" or only "Saint Anthony School" or are both possible? Since it is really different from our way of saying that, I am not a hundred per cent sure about the best incomplete answer in this case. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I would simply say the name of the school - St Anthony's without 'to' because 'to school' is included in the question.
