Dear Kitosdad, Please help to revise this essay.
Topic: Before making a decision, it is important to find out if the decision will be popular with others.
***** The only concern when I make my decision is that whether it is right or wrong. I have never paid attention on answering the question: “Will this decision be popular with the other people or not?” Popularity is not always right and paying attention to find out what is popular can waste me a lot of time.
The first reason of ignoring other people’s decisions is that the popular ones are not always right. Our ancestors used to think that the world is flat, but only Galileo believed that it is round. Moreover, some decisions seem to correct with others people but it will be incorrect with me. Then, making decision bases on circumstance is better than bases on popularity.
The second reason make me feel confident when I myself make the decision is that people normally tend to protect their own benefit instead of taking care for the whole group’s. The production manager’s decision on applying the new system to control productive working time is always against workers’ benefit. This new system is being applied means that the workers have to pay more attention on work, there will be no more chatting time and there will be more pressure as well.
Thirdly, to find out what is the popular decision can waste a lot of time. There are many groups with many different ideas in our society, or even in a smaller scale such as a company. Therefore it will be difficult to determine what the most popular one is. Furthermore, some decisions need quick reaction can’t be waited until we get all other agreements. The bus driver can’t ask all his passengers which direction to turn in order to avoid a deer suddenly across the street.
In conclusion, it is better if we can decide and make our own decision. The own decision which make bases on actual circumstance is always more appropriate than the popular one. ******
Thank you very much & Best Regards, Ha Cao

Re: It is important to find out if the decision will be popular with others. Re: IS IT.......................................................................................?
Is this a question or a statement you are making? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The only concern I HAVE when I make A decision is that whether it is right or wrong. I have never paid attention IN answering the question: “Will this decision be popular with the other people or not?” Popularity is not always /right/REQUIRED IN MAKING MY DECISION and paying attention to findING out what is popular WITH OTHERS can waste me a lot of MY time.
The first reason of FOR ignoring other people’s /decisions/OPINIONS/ is that the popular ones are not always right. Our ancestors used to think that the world is WAS flat, but only Galileo believed that it is WAS round. Moreover, some Decisions THAT seem to correct with TO others people but it will OFTEN be incorrect with me. Then, m Making decisionS baseD on circumstance is better than THOSE baseD on popularity.
The second reason THAT makeS me feel confident when I myself make A decision is that people normally tend to protect their own /benefit/INTERESTS/ instead of /taking care for/ CONSIDERING THE OPINIONS OF the whole group.
The A production manager’s decision IN applying the new system to control productive working time is always against workers’ benefit. This new system is being applied means that the workers have to pay more attention on TO THEIR work MEANING there will be no more chatting, time and there will be more pressure. as well.
Thirdly, to findING out what is the A popular decision can waste a lot of time. There are many groups with many different ideas in our society, or even on a smaller scale such as IN a company. Therefore it will be difficult to determine what the most popular DECISION WOULD BE one is. Furthermore, s Some decisions need TO BE MADE QUICKLY, WITHOUT THE AGREEMENT OF OTHERS.quick reaction can’t be waited until we get all other agreements.
The A bus driver can’t ask all DOES NOT ASK his passengers which direction to turn in order to avoid HITTING a deer THAT HAS suddenly RAN across the street.
In conclusion, it is better if we can decide and make our own decision. The ONES own decision which make baseD on actual circumstance is always more appropriate than ONE BASED ON POPULARITY.the popular one. ********************************************************************* Good morning HaCao. There was some uncertainty as to whether this was a statement you were making, or a question you were asking. The error may be mine, but I found it very confusing.

Dear Kitosdad, Firstly, thank you very much for your revision. I did this essay badly in pressure of time. I believe that I need more practice. Secondly, I would like to correct the topic as below: "Do you agree or disagree with the statement: Before making a decision, it is important to find out if the decision will be popular with others." I'm sorry for confusing you and other members. Have a nice day! Ha Cao |
